I totally agree with the opinion here. I’ve seen lots of people, especially women for some reason(?), wait for the praise and try to win over the “leadership” but neither happens.
I’m at a stage where I’m trying to figure out how to do work that I’m proud of without giving too much time and energy to the actual workplace. I don’t know if that’s possible. I may have to try really hard to not care about being proud(?). I don’t know.

Love your writing and I personally can relate to a lot of what you are describing here (I'm a recovering IC7). In my view the label choices of the ratings are somewhat unfortunate and even misleading. While meeting most of your expectations should sound ok to any sane person, the one thing to note, however, is that two consecutive Meets Most rating is an almost guaranteed PIP. With that said, there is so much wrong with these evaluations I could make a mile-long list. Some of those wrongs include what you have also pointed to, that is in the PSC theater, a very specific personality type and subsequent behavior is being rewarded.
