Sometimes reading your blog feels like thinking my own thoughts, except the (your!) thoughts make more sense and come to better conclusions. I especially liked the part about acceptance.
This post is an emotional bullseye for arriving at 50-ish and everyone is like, "eew" and I'm like, wtf? I'm in the early stages of learning to cope with how the world now perceives me and responds to me. It's not a lot of fun. It's sometimes a real depressing bummer.
Love every word of this!! And the yoga analogy, to see figure out where you are and work from there, is BRILLIANT! And exactly what I needed to hear as I come up on 50, which oddly I’m excited abt. Liking how it feels to care less abt so many things. Thank you!
It’s funny, I’m kind of excited too? But also weirded out! Making sense of it all. And thank you! I’m glad you like the analogy because it makes so much sense to me!!

Yes! The “come to better conclusions” part is my fav too.
I hope you know how happy it makes me when you say it feels like reading your thoughts! ❤️
I swear this is true--just yesterday, I was actually thinking I hadn't read you in a while. I'm glad you're ok, or at least as ok as we all can be.
Hey, maybe I manifested your return.
I believe you did! And I appreciate it.

Haha 50 is awfully close for me too, how’d you guess? It is hard!! But we’ve got no choice y’know?
We worked together in 1999-2000, so I had an idea, but also; many of your posts thru the years track to my own experiences or rumination. Simpatico.
I remember!! Sorry, was more of a rhetorical “how’d you guess??” Anyway I’m glad it resonated, and I’m glad you’re still around these parts to say hi.
No apologies! I just missed the rhetorical cues because…well, maybe because I’m getting old! I don’t know what’s real anymore.
Welcome back. You were missed and this is beautiful and enlightening.
Thank you friend! How you doing?
doing better than I ever expected to be at this point ♥️
You got this, my lovely friend. So happy to hear you’re doing the damn thing.
this is so, so great. So much to think about. And now I’m off to watch that nick cave doc ASAP
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed. Thanks for inspiring me to get back on my newsletter bullshit ❤️

lol that’s a lot of sense making in that response
lol I get it. There’s a lot to make sense of lately!

I really like your writing style
Fluid conversational that pulls you in and keeps you there is not easy to do and you do it very well
It sometimes is all just one day at a time. :-)
