This was great. I honestly love the off-ramp revelation and think I need to incorporate more of that small town’s mentality into my everyday... particularly in my professional life.

HUGE yes to the centering delusion that so many product teams have.

Also, I too was microdosing at the end of last year, as a way to get unstuck, and on new year’s day I accidentally took a full dose. Tripped absolute balls, became unraveled, touched god, became god, consumed the world, baked delicious banana bread, and came out on the other side feeling so much better about so many things. worlds within worlds.

❤️🥰

Love this! Also museum membership is the best, getting to drop in and skip lines makes you feel so cool.

Have you heard of the trauma response known as "fawning?" There's traditionally fight, flight, or freeze, but "fawn" is a newer addition - that whole "I need you to like me so I feel safe" thing that I am all too familiar with. That may not be exactly your experience, but in case it's relevant. Also, I hadn't watched that Blues Brothers clip in an age; thanks for the reminder. That entire movie is a subtweet love letter to Chicago.
